When I create a cylinder with R=40mm, H=2mm, and then another cylinder R=2mm, H=2mm, then perform a Boolean subtract smaller radius from bigger radius, the end result is a failure. When the radius of the smaller cylinder is 10mm instead of 2mm it works as expected. Interesting!

If the faces are at exactly the same height, the boolean process becomes more complicated and the probability of failure is higher.
Pelase try changing the height of another cylinder to 3mm.

Unfortunately the issue still happens with R=100mm, H=2mm and another R=2mm, H=4mm. Both cylinders are centered, the 2nd one sticks out 1mm both directions on the Y axis. The issue happens with Default Algorithm. The reason I brought this up is that I've never seen this happen in other packages. Thanks!

Which version of Metasequoia do you use?
I recommended changing the height as a possible solution, but as far as we can tell, it works fine at any height.

I have tried with 4.8.3b, it works using the "Old Method" only.

Actually I now see that Fast has also some weird issues, but little better than 4.8.3b :)
