It's not difficult for us to implement simple keyframe animation, but the needs it satisfies are so small that it's pointless. It's better to use highly specialized tools that already exist.

I guess that is fair although if it was added then metaseq could become a full 3d character suite that would replace a lot of things in my workflow for making game assets.
